‘A Christmas Story’ star Peter Billingsley coming to Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Peter Billingsley, who played “Ralphie” in the holiday classic “A Christmas Story,” will appear at Rockford’s Coronado Performing Arts Center to host a screening of the film.

The program will consist of a showing of the 1983 film, along with a Q&A with Billingsley, who also starred in the 2022 sequel, “A Christmas Story Christmas.”

Billingsley will share stories from the set, behind-the-scenes photos, and his memories of the Christmas classic.

One lucky winner from the Toys for Tots fundraiser that accompanies the screening will go home with a leg lamp, made famous by the movie.

“An Evening With Peter Billingsley” will take place Sunday, December 1st at 5 p.m..

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 13th at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster and at the Coronado Performing Center box office.
