Wis. (WTVO) — Multiple people in multiple states have been infected with salmonella due to consuming Milo’s Poultry Farms and Tony’s Fresh Market branded eggs.

65 people in nine states have been infected, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

Around 42 individuals infected live in Wisconsin, while other cases are in Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Virginia, Colorado and California. 24 people have been hospitalized but no one has been reported dead, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said Milo’s Poultry Farms LLC has issued a recall of all infected eggs on Friday.

The Food and Drug Administration said to throw the eggs away after environmental samples tested positive for bacteria. From further testing, the FDA found this incident was related to an ongoing outbreak investigation.

The product was distributed through grocery stores and food service distributors in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. Milo’s has stopped production as well as distribution and will be testing and sanitizing farms along with processing equipment.

Anyone who consumed the infected eggs should contact health officials if they are experiencing diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever and vomiting, the DHS said.
