Shooting in Killeen Leaves One Dead, Police Seek Information
KILLEEN, Texas — A man was found dead after a shooting on the 2100 block of N W.S. Young Drive on Sunday afternoon. Officers were dispatched at 4:40 p.m. and discovered an unconscious male suffering from a gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the victim deceased at 6:30 p.m. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Puppies abandoned at Odessa park found by Good Samaritan
ODESSA, Texas — Ten unweaned Chihuahua mix puppies were found abandoned at Casa Bella Park on Tuesday afternoon, according to Odessa Animal Control. The puppies, estimated to be about 20 days old and without teeth, include six males and four females. Dog Rescue R Us, a local rescue organization, is partnering with the Odessa Animal Shelter to provide care for the puppies.
San Antonio police arrest two additional suspects in capital murder case
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two men have been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred on July 20, 2023, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Austyn Hartnett, 22, and Micheal Trevino, 22, were apprehended after a shooting on the 1800 block of Lockhill Selma. Although officers did not find any victims at the scene, two male victims were reported missing the following day. An abandoned vehicle was later discovered with evidence indicating that the missing victims had been inside the car.

Two suspects sought in McKinney home invasion
McKINNEY, Texas — Two unknown Hispanic males forcibly entered a home on Piedmont Drive on July 13, 2024, at approximately 3:30 PM, according to the McKinney Police Department.One suspect, appearing to be in his late 20s to early 30s, was wearing a bright yellow construction vest, dark gray hat with a black bill, and orange reflective glasses resting on the hat. The other suspect, appearing to be in his 40s, was wearing a gray or blue hat, a long sleeve gray shirt, and blue jeans. The suspects took a safe and other belongings from the homeowner before fleeing the scene.
