Hernandez, who was listed on the Hays County Crime Stoppers Top 10 Most Wanted List, faced multiple charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, failure to identify as a fugitive, terroristic threat, and reckless driving, according to the Hays County Sheriff's Office.
El Paso man sentenced to 15 years for distributing fentanyl causing death
EL PASO, Texas — An El Paso man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl that resulted in a death. Michael Joseph Cuccaro, 22, sold counterfeit M-30 oxycodone pills containing fentanyl on Dec. 11, 2022, according to court documents. Dallas police investigate fatal shooting of 24-year-old man
DALLAS, Texas — A 24-year-old man was found shot and killed inside an apartment on Lake Avenue, Dallas police say. On July 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 4600 block of Lake Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Ashton Barnes, 24, shot inside an apartment. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department. There is currently no suspect description available. Marshall man arrested in fatal shooting at Lafayette and East Grand Avenue
MARSHALL, Texas — A local man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, according to the Marshall Police Department. The incident took place around 11:50 a.m. in the 100 block of East Grand Avenue. A white Nissan was stopped at a red light when a maroon vehicle pulled up beside it. The driver of the maroon vehicle opened fire into the white Nissan before fleeing the scene. The passenger of the Nissan, 20-year-old Markel May, died on the scene. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A second vehicle at the intersection was also struck by gunfire, but the driver did not sustain any injuries.

ANTLERS, Oklahoma — A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a home invasion and homicide that occurred in August 2023, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).In the early morning hours of August 29, 2023, the Antlers Police Department requested OSBI's assistance with a home invasion near East Main Street and Northeast D Street in Antlers. Upon arrival, officers discovered 95-year-old Gladys Land and another 73-year-old female victim, both suffering from significant injuries. The victims were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital. Forced entry was determined to have occurred through the back door of the home.Land succumbed to her injuries, while the second victim was later released from the hospital but continues to receive treatment for her injuries.Based on the information and evidence obtained, OSBI special agents arrested 20-year-old Kristopher Coffelt on July 17, 2024. Coffelt was booked into the Pushmataha County Jail on charges of First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Burglary, and Assault and Battery with Great Bodily Injury."We appreciate the assistance of the Pushmataha County Sheriff's Office and the Antlers Police Department in this investigation and arrest," stated the OSBI.

Driver and passenger arrested on multiple felony charges in Montgomery County
MONTGOMERY, Texas — A traffic stop on Highway 105 near Marina Drive led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple felony charges, authorities said. Edward Nikolik was arrested for two felony warrants out of Galveston County and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable's Office.
