Pitt State Softball Announces Addition of Stephen F. Austin Transfer Aydenne Brown

PITTSBURG, KS — The Pitt State Gorillas got another strong arm in the pitching circle after they announced the addition of Aydenne Brown who comes in after transferring from Division I program Stephen F. Austin.

Brown spent the 2024 season with the Lumberjacks where she led their staff with 89 strikeouts in 113.2 innings pitched and held opponents .237 batting average.

Twice this season she was named the WAC Pitcher of the Week.

Before SFA, Brown spent a season with the New Mexico State Aggies leading them with 95 strikeouts in 96.2 innings pitched.

She was also a 2-time NJCAA Division I All-American at Odessa College. In 2022 with the Wranglers, she earned First Team honors osting a 25-3 record with a 1.44 ERA while striking out 262 batters.

Head Coach Jenny Fuller stated, “Aydenne is somebody that we have followed throughout her entire career, and we are excited to add her to our staff,” Fuller said. “She is a veteran pitcher at the collegiate level and will bring in a lot of experience. We can’t wait to watch her compete for the Gorillas”.
