The Northwest Nazarene baseball team went two-and out at the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament, falling 8-6 in 10 innings to San Francisco State in the opening game of the day, then losing 6-3 to host Cal State Monterey Bay later in the day. Against San Francisco State, the Nighthawks tied the game with RBI hits by Kaleb Karpstein, Carter Walsh and Gavin Brubaker in the bottom of the eighth inning, but the Gators were able to get two runs in the top of the tenth inning and holding Northwest Nazarene without a run in the bottom half of the frame.
