Rasmuson Foundation announces new programs, resumes grantmaking
The Rasmuson Foundation in Anchorage, Alaska, has announced it will broaden eligibility of its grantmaking programs, increase grant award sizes, and expedite award schedules. In January, as part of a board-led strategic planning effort, the foundation paused most of its grantmaking activities to assess and improve its internal processes to better serve Alaska communities and nonprofits. The changes include an increase of its Tier 1 grants from $25,000 to $35,000, a new Community Support grant for requests between $35,000 and $250,000, and rebranded Legacy grants (closely aligned with the former Tier 2 program) for requests that exceed $250,000. Individual Artist Awards will return in early 2025, with program details to be released later this year.
