Northridge celebrating stadium opening Monday
A new era of Northridge athletics will be unveiled this week. The school is hosting a grand opening for its new stadium at 5 p.m. Monday. The stadium located east of the high school will have the twice the capacity, full-service concessions and restrooms and an eight-lane track. During Monday’s ceremony, the victory bell will be dedicated long-time coach and supporter Jim Hess, who died in 2022. The school also will recognize Isabel Evans for her Division II state championship in the 100 hurdles last June. Four Lakeside Wrestlers Choose Muskingum University Together
Four recent Lakeside High School graduates - Hassani Sy, Lucas Eland, Abi Ortiz, and King Wright - are heading to Muskingum University to continue their education and wrestling careers together. Despite initially questioning whether they would attend college separately, they excitedly found a shared path at Muskingum after evaluating several options, like John Carroll. Their decision was influenced by the campus atmosphere and their positive experiences with the wrestling program.
