Shawsheen Tech Students Construct Portable Press Box for Bedford High Baseball
Bedford, MA – On Saturday, May 11, Bedford High School’s varsity baseball team unveiled its new portable press box, crafted by students from Shawsheen Valley Technical School’s welding program. The press box made its debut during the team’s Military Appreciation Game against Concord. Designed to accommodate announcers, the official scorer, and sound equipment, this innovative structure resulted from a collaborative project between Shawsheen Tech and Bedford High School Athletics.
Lawrence bags state title
The Warriors won it all! Lawrence Academy rallied back after suffering a Game Two setback to run-rule Kerr-Vance Academy and win the NCISAA State Championship. Senior Zander Mizelle raced home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth frame to establish Lawrence's 10-0 victory. Lawrence had won Game One on Friday evening before KVA forced the third and deciding contest. Lawence finished the season 22-7. More details to come.
