Hip Hop and Honky Tonk: Post Malone & Blake Shelton Surprise Fans at CMA Fest

For some time now, fans have been demanding to see a country album by Post Malone. Although no album has been announced yet, he continues to make waves in the genre by collaborating with some of the greatest country music stars today.

On June 6, the 2024 CMA Fest brought together country music new and old to the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. Post Malone made a surprise appearance in a performance with none other than Blake Shelton . They not only shocked fans performing together, but unveiled their new unreleased single, "Somebody Pour Me A Drink." Moments after the show concluded, Shelton and Malone were back on stage together inside Shelton's bar, 'Ole Red,' where they performed their song once again in a more intimate version.

A couple weeks ago, Posty teased the collaboration but fans didn't expect the duos debut to be on one of country musics biggest stages. On the "Cirlces" artists post, Sheltons wife, Gwen Stefani commented expressing her excitement for their collab. Stefani said, "Can't handle this much cool and cute!! Super fan alert!"

After the night ended, Shelton posted on his Instagram with a picture of him with Post Malone and his wife, Gwen Stefani. The caption stated, "Welcome to country music @postmalone!!!!!"

Malone also used his social media to share the collaboration. The comment sections were filled with excited fans begging for more. One fan said, "What a collab... please release now!!" The Spotify Instagram account commented with, "The duo we never knew we needed." Many comments were asking for a release date for the single, and for the highly anticipated Posty gone country album yet they remained unanswered as of now.

The name, Post Malone, is already topping country music charts with other artists. He teamed up with Morgan Wallen on the song, "I Had Some Help" which debuted among the billboard top 100 quickly after its release. Some fans are saying that this song alone has already solidified his success in the country genre, some are still awaiting the hopeful full album to say for sure. Regardless of his own country fame, we surely can say that successful artists are taking interest in working alongside Posty.
