July 4th fireworks shows: Where you can celebrate in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Communities across Middle Tennessee will be lighting up the skies in celebration of Independence Day next Wednesday and Thursday.
Several cities have planned events, offering everything from squirt gun parades to foam parties. While the activities vary, the crowds will all be capping off the night with fireworks displays.
Below are some of the Fourth of July celebrations happening across the region.
Nashville will be kicking off the Fourth of July with one of the largest fireworks shows in the country. The show will feature free live music, including performances by headliner Chris Young, along with YOLA, Girl Named Tom, Blessing Offor, and more.
The event site will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the main show at Jack Daniel’s Broadway Stage beginning at 4 p.m. Food vendors will be on First Avenue North near Riverfront Park, with additional hot dog vendors along Broadway.
The gates at Ascend Amphitheater will open at 4 p.m. There, crowds will be able to enjoy fireworks synchronized to a live performance by the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony. The fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
Murfreesboro’s 2024 Celebration Under the Stars will be held on Thursday, July 4 at the Fountains at Gateway. The festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m., with food trucks, music and family activities.
Country artist Craig Campbell will take the Fountains Stage at 7:30 p.m., and a 30-minute fireworks show is slated to begin at 9 p.m. The community is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for picnicking.
The City of Clarksville is hosting a day filled with live music, fun and fireworks to celebrate the holiday. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at Liberty Park.
A variety of food options will be available from various vendors. Memphis-based roots, blues and soul band Southern Avenue will be headlining, with Clarksville’s largest fireworks display set to begin at 9:10 p.m.
Friends of Franklin Parks, in conjunction with the City of Franklin and City of Franklin Parks Department, will be hosting a Fourth of July Celebration at the Tractor Supply Co. Arena at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.
The park will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, with live music from the Nashville Yacht Club Band beginning at 6 p.m. Several different food trucks will be on site, offering everything from hot dogs to tacos. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
The fireworks show is expected to begin at 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to view the show. Anywhere from 8,000 to 10,000 people are expected to be in attendance.
Mt. Juliet’s Biggest July 4th Celebration will begin at 5 p.m. at Circle P Ranch. Guests will be able to indulge in delicious bites from food trucks, groove to music and dive into the fun with a foam party. The tailgate party will be followed by a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Sumner County’s largest Independence Day celebration will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville. The event will kick off with the Hendersonville Has Talent finale at 5 p.m., followed by live music at 6 p.m.
Dozens of merchants will be showcasing their goods, and a variety of vendors will have food available for purchase. The fireworks show starts at 9 p.m., weather permitting. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs.
The City of Gallatin will be celebrating the Fourth of July with a foam party provided by the Gallatin Fire Department, multiple food trucks and a fireworks show. Hosted at Triple Creek Park, the festivities are set to begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 and last until 10 p.m.
This year’s Independence Day celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at Moss Wright Park. The event will begin at 4 p.m., with several food vendors offering a variety of options.
A free activity zone will also be open for kids, featuring games and inflatables such as Sticky Soccer and Jurassic Adventure. Fireman’s Foam begins at 5 p.m., with guests encouraged to bring a swimsuit or change of clothes.
Kids and adults alike will be able to enjoy a maze painted on the grass. The activities will conclude around 8:30 p.m., with a fireworks show set to begin at 9 p.m.
Smyrna will be celebrating Independence Day with a family-friendly event on Wednesday, July 3 at Lee Victory Recreation Park. The festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with fireworks lighting up the skies at dark.
Once again, the Watertown Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual parade in honor of Independence Day. The parade will start at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at Round Lick Baptist Church and will move east down Main Street until coming to an end at Sparta Pike.
No water balloons are allowed, but guests are encouraged to bring squirt guns. Fireworks will begin at dark in the field behind Three Forks Park, weather permitting. Attendees should bring lawn chairs to enjoy the display.
The Fourth of July festivities in Manchester will kick off at 6 p.m. at Rotary Park, with several food trucks parked and ready to serve guests. There will be free live music from Burning Las Vegas from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the fireworks show set to begin right after.
