    Teen accused of firing multiple shots toward security guard in parking garage

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An 18-year-old has been taken into custody after police said he fired shots toward a security guard in a Sobro area parking garage earlier this year.

    According to court documents, the incident occurred on May 20 at a parking garage in the Sobro area near 2nd Avenue South.

    Cameras in the area reportedly captured three individuals walk into the parking garage. One of the individuals — identified as 18-year-old Marquise Johnson — had mask that was pulled down, showing his face.

    Detectives reported they recognized Johnson from previous incidents that have occurred in the downtown area.

    The security guard allegedly told officers that he was patrolling the garage when he heard the sound of glass breaking. When he went to investigate, he saw three individuals breaking into cars and shouted at them to quit.

    An arrest report states that’s when Johnson fired multiple shots in the security guard’s direction. The security guard told police that “he could hear the bullets flying past him.”

    A camera in the garage reportedly captured the suspects running and Johnson with a gun in his hand.

    Johnson was arrested for the incident on Tuesday, July 2. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
