    The East Precinct’s Investigations Unit has launched efforts to identify the individual responsible for vandalizing the rainbow crosswalk at S. 14th and Woodland Streets

    Nashville, TN – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the rainbow crosswalk was reportedly installed just last Saturday to commemorate Pride Month.

    Police officials also said that surveillance footage captured the driver of a white Ford van pouring black paint over the crosswalk at 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2.

    The perpetrator, described as a white man in a black t-shirt, was recorded during the act.

    Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the driver or the van to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

    This incident remains under investigation.
