The release of "College Football 25" is nearing, and college football fans are growing anxious about getting their hands on the new game.

EA Sports continues to hype the game ahead of its release on July 19 ― though some gamers can get earlier access depending on the version of the game that is bought. On Saturday, Vanderbilt football teased how the Commodores will look in the upcoming game in a post on its X account (formerly Twitter).

In a matchup against SEC East rival Kentucky, a player named Carter, sporting the No. 4, dropped back to pass the ball and hit a player numbered 85 in stride for a 75-yard touchdown pass to give Vandy a 7-0 lead with just under five minutes remaining in the first quarter.

The 2024 Vanderbilt roster does not have a No. 4 at the quarterback position, but No. 85 is Junior Sherrill out of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville. College football players are paid $600 and get a copy of the game (a $70 value) if the player opts to be featured in the game. Texas quarterback Arch Manning was reportedly paid “50-60k” to promote the game. Into further years of the game in dynasty mode, players who are not currently in college will not be based on real players.
