Passengers Plug Their Ears As Flight Attendant Performs “I Will Always Love You” Over The Intercom On Nashville Flight

I see why people get angry enough to get themselves kicked off of planes now. Listen, I know everybody's different when they travel. Personally, I like to throw my headphones in, turn on a movie or a podcast, and completely ignore everything and everybody until I get off the plane. Don't talk to me, don't look at me, just let me be in my own little world for the next 2 hours. But when you go on vacation you're probably pumped up and ready to get the party started as soon as possible. Have a couple drinks on the plane and by the time you land you're feeling good and ready to hit the ground running. And I appreciate what this flight attendant was trying to do on her flight to Nashville. Chances are, whether they were coming here for work or for play, there's going to be a lot of country music and drinking involved. So why not try to get everybody in the spirit as they arrive to Music City? The video, which is apparently from 2022, features a flight attendance on a Nashville-bound Southwest flight taking to the intercom to try to get passengers in the mood to hit up Broadway...by performing the entirety of Dolly Parton's classic "I Will Always Love You." And look, like I said, I appreciate what she's trying to do. But man, this is just making things awkward for everybody. What do you do while this is going on? Sit and watch like you're at a concert? Pretend it's not happening and just go about your business? Not to mention, that's not an easy song to sing, especially when both the original and the Whitney Houston version are well known. So unless you've got pipes like Adele or Carrie Underwood, there's a good chance you're not going to nail it. Spoiler alert: She didn't exactly nail it. And that makes the whole video all the more awkward. How do you keep a straight face during that? One poor guy is even plugging his ears...not what you wanna see. This is the second video we've seen in recent weeks of planes turning into performance venues with captive audiences, after video went viral of a musician performing Toby Keith during a flight delay recently. But that's kinda the problem: Your audience is captive. There's no way for them to escape the uncomfortable situation. Although in the comments, some people had some ideas:
"Respectfully I might throw myself out that plane if that happened to me"

I would open an emergency exit

And to be fair, some in the comments appreciated the effort and performance from the flight attendant. But it seems that the vast majority wouldn't appreciate being serenaded during their flight:

"Is this considered a hostage situation"

"I can only imagine waking up from the edible induced nap to this"

"The way the police would need to be on standby when we land"

"The vast difference between Whitney Houston and Whitney on the way to Houston."

"God gave social anxiety to the wrong people…"

"I think everyone on airplanes should act as if everyone else has a migraine. Like be quiet, no bright ass lights"

    That last guy gets it.

@madisondavidsn in her defense 2020-2022 was a fever dream so we all just sat there and let it happen #dollyparton #whitneyhouston ♬ original sound - madison davidson
