Nashville Predators Have 3 of the Top 50 Scorers in the 2020s

It has been over four seasons since the calendar changed over to begin the 2020s. It started with just a couple of months of action in the 2019-20 season before the shutdown, included a shortened 2020-21 season, and three full seasons since.
Over this span, players have made names for themselves and separated themselves from the pack, showing what kind of offensive talents they are. Among the top-50 scorers in the 2020s, three players on the Nashville Predators appear.
The Predators made some key additions to their roster this offseason, one of whom includes Steven Stamkos, the 14th best scorer this decade with 335 points. He sits just three points behind Mika Zibanejad and four points ahead of William Nylander. Stamkos played just 301 games to reach this mark, recording over a point-per-game in the past three seasons, 2019-20, and finishing with 34 points in 38 games in 2020-21.

The next Predators player with the most points in the 2020s is the franchise leader in points and captain, Roman Josi. He has recorded the 32nd most points with 299, doing so all with the Predators. The veteran ranks third amongst defensemen, trailing only Cale Makar (307) and Quinn Hughes (302). Only two other d-men rank on this list; Adam Fox and Victor Hedman.
Josi recorded 26 points in 31 games at the tail end of the 2019-20 season and 273 points in his previous 277 games. Josi then followed that up with two seasons in which he finished under a point-per-game and two seasons where he finished over, including last season with 85 points in 82 games.
Filip Forsberg is the third member of the Predators to find himself in the top-50 scorers in the 2020s, landing in 46th with 273 points. He did so in 271 games because of his time missed with injuries. Forsberg ended last season with 94 points, two back of Clayton Keller on the list, and tied with Hedman.
The Predators now have a great core that gives them a strong chance to compete for the Stanley Cup in the next few years and there's a reason why the signing of Stamkos got a lot of attention around it.
