Titans Star Jeffery Simmons Goes Ballistic on Media Member After Training Camp Brawl

It was quite the day for Tennessee Titans' star defensive lineman, Jeffery Simmons. During the team's first day practicing in pads, Simmons got involved in a little brawl. However, he was not kicked out of practice. Despite that, shortly after the incident, Simmons was heard yelling at a media member off-camera.

The brawl originally began between Jeffery Simmons and the Titans' first-round rookie, JC Latham, per Buck Reising of AtoZ Sports. Simmons and Latham were shoving each other at the end of a play which eventually led to a little scuffle. Reising claims the referees attending Tennessee's practice said Simmons would have been tossed from a game for the initial shoving before the fight. There is no available video of the training camp fight.

Buck Reising was at the Titans facility conducting interviews for a radio show. Shortly after the incident, Reising was preparing to interview Titans cornerback, Roger McCreary.

That's when Jeffery Simmons was heard off-camera calling out Reising over posts on social media. It's unclear exactly what posts Simmons is upset with but this isn't the first time he's called out media members for social media activity. In the video, not all of Simmons' words are clear. But you can definitely hear his disdain for Buck Reising.

There's a chance Simmons was still hot from the brawl during practice. But it's a bit odd for the Titans star to go out of his way to yell at a media member. Jeffery Simmons has not posted anything on social media since this incident and it's unclear whether or not he'll address it. Either way, all eyes will be on his next press conference, whenever that will be.

Head coach Brian Callahan was asked about the training camp brawl after practice. Although Callahan didn't mention Simmons' outburst on Buck Reising, the Titans coach claims he didn't kick out the star defensive lineman for getting in that fight. Callahan sounded confident that he doesn't believe this will be an ongoing issue with Jeffery Simmons.

Jeffery Simmons is arguably the face of the franchise now that Derrick Henry is out of the picture. Simmons has been an absolute stud for Tennessee throughout his career and aims to take his game to another level in the 2024 season.

Last year, Simmons proved to be a reliable asset on the defensive line once again. He's a phenomenal pass rusher from the interior and can stop the run with the best of them. Last season, Jeffery Simmons finished with 44 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.
