Vanderbilt basketball will face TCU in Fort Worth, Texas, in December, the program announced in a press release Wednesday.
The game will technically be a neutral-site game, held at Dickies Arena rather than TCU's home arena. The Commodores also played at Dickies Arena in 2023, facing Texas Tech.
Tipoff time will be 11:30 a.m. CT on Dec. 8 and air on one of the ESPN networks, though the specific TV info has yet to be released.
Vanderbilt will be in its first season under new coach Mark Byington, hired to replace Jerry Stackhouse. Of the 13 scholarship players on the roster, 12 will be newcomers. Byington brought in two freshmen and 10 transfers after Stackhouse finished 9-23 in 2023-24.
The Commodores have announced one other segment of their non-conference schedule for 2024-25. They will compete in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic multi-team event in Charleston, South Carolina, in November, though their exact opponents in that event have yet to be announced.
