Tennessee Titans get good news on right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere

The Tennessee Titans received some good news on Friday when it comes to their offensive line, as right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere has been cleared to practice.

The team announced that Petit-Frere has been removed from the active/physically unable to perform list after passing his physical. NPF has yet to practice this offseason after undergoing a clean-up procedure on his knee.

After such a lengthy absence, chances are Petit-Frere will be eased back in, but once he's ready to be a full-go, he'll be thrown into the starting competition at right tackle, where he has long been considered the favorite.

Petit-Frere was the team's starter at the position during his rookie campaign in 2022, when he had an up-and-down showing. He was hit with a gambling suspension last season, lost his starting job, and never really found his footing when he got an opportunity to play before suffering a season-ending injury .

But with a new coaching staff that includes esteemed offensive line coach Bill Callahan, Petit-Frere has a chance to rebound in 2024. He'll have to take care of business and lock down the starting role first, though.

Along with NPF, the Titans are also giving looks at right tackle to John Ojukwu, Jaelyn Duncan and Leroy Watson, among others. The Ohio State product has the advantage in experience over all three of those options.
