In what is shocking news, the Tennessee Titans have placed offensive lineman Saahdiq Charles on the reserve/retired list.

The news comes from the team directly. Charles, who had been the favorite for the right guard job, had missed multiple practices because of an undisclosed personal reason.

Charles emerged as a favorite for the right guard job during the offseason program, and that continued in training camp, especially after he was listed as the team's starter at the position on the first unofficial depth chart of 2024.

With Charles no longer in the mix, Dillon Radunz, who appeared as Charles' backup on the aforementioned depth chart, figures to be the favorite for the job. Along with Radunz, last year's starter at right guard, Daniel Brunskill, who is currently listed as the backup center, could also be in the hunt to regain his starting role.

On top of Radunz and Brunskill, the Titans also have Lachavious Simmons, Andrew Rupcich and Brian Dooley listed at backup guard spots.

Originally a fourth-round pick of the Washington Football Team in 2020, Charles spent four years with the team, appearing in 35 games. He signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with Tennessee earlier this offseason.
