Youths face multiple felony charges following series of robberies

Three juveniles have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred in several Chicago neighborhoods in mid-July, as confirmed by the Chicago Police Department. The suspects, aged 14 and 16, are accused of conducting a series of coordinated attacks on July 14, leading to their capture by the Citywide Robbery Task Force on the 1100 block of South Hamilton.

Each suspect is charged with seven counts of armed robbery with a firearm. The charges stem from a series of incidents that took place over a brief period on the same evening.

The alleged crime spree began around 6:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Oakley, where two female victims, aged 24 and 25, were reportedly confronted. Less than 25 minutes later, a second robbery occurred in the 2100 block of North Oakley, involving a 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man.

Shortly after, a 15-year-old girl was targeted in the 500 block of West Lyndale. The series of robberies concluded at approximately 7:05 p.m. in the 5500 block of West Drummond, where a 40-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were robbed.

The apprehension of the suspects was the result of detailed investigative work conducted by the Robbery Task Force, which led to the identification and arrest of the individuals believed to be responsible for these crimes. Details regarding the investigation or the circumstances surrounding the arrests have not been released by law enforcement.
