Central Wyoming Trails Alliance Building New, Advanced Mountain Bike Trail on Casper Mountain
This morning Central Wyoming Trails Alliance announced that they are going to break ground on what will become a new, advanced mountain bike trail on Casper Mountain. "This is the first of a few mountain bike optimized downhill style trails that will be built in this trail system. This new trail will replace the current Spillway trail with an 8x longer version with nasty rock gardens, fast decent areas, alpine flow, natural rock drop features, alternate line options and finishes with steep slab ride!!!" wrote the group on social media.
Fire weather watch issued for Casper area
CASPER, Wyo. — Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Riverton issued a fire weather watch for Natrona County. The NWS in Riverton reported in a release that the combination of high temperatures, low humidity, strong winds and possible lightning all combine to create conditions ripe for starting wildfires. Afternoon winds are predicted to gust at speeds of up to 30 mph. Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to remain firmly in the 90s for the duration of the watch.
Casper man dies in Saturday wreck; GoFundMe started for family
CASPER, Wyo. — Casper resident Cole Allen Paulsen died Saturday in a car-on-motorcycle crash, and a fundraiser has been established to help his family. According to family members, the wreck occurred at roughly 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of CY Avenue and South Spruce Street. Casper Police Department public information officer Amber Freestone did not respond to requests for details.

Hot Days In Forecast For Southeast Wyoming Residents
Hot weather is forecast across southeast Wyoming over the next few days, with hazy, smoky weather also predicted for Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website: ''Like the heat? Well you’re in luck!
