Beautiful today, higher humidity brings showers, storms late week

High pressure over the eastern Great Lakes keeps things quiet and seasonably warm for another day. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s. Tonight will be mainly clear and mild, with morning lows in the low 60s.

A disturbance over the central Plains will travel east across the Upper Midwest. Clouds should increase Thursday, as the humidity rises in a light southerly flow. A few showers will develop in western Ohio, with only a chance for a light shower farther east toward evening.

A storm system will drift across northern Michigan on Friday and stick around for much of the weekend. The best chance for widespread showers and a few storms will occur on Friday. Rain chances will diminish to the more scattered variety over the weekend.

Clouds, and off and on showers, will lower daytime temperatures during the weekend, with highs in the low 80s through the weekend.

High pressure will build in early next week, bringing plenty of sunshine and seasonable readings in the low 80s, and lower humidity.
