Double Festival Weekend

NELSONVILLE — The Black Diamond Music and Arts Festival and the Starbrick Music Festival joined forces this year to be one big weekend of music and fun Friday and Saturday on the Hocking College campus, in Nelsonville.

The Black Diamond Festival, featuring country style and bluegrass music, took their turn on Friday. Athens favorite, McGuffey Lane, was there to celebrate their 50th anniversary. There was plenty of good food and unique art on hand as well.

The Starbrick Music Festival on Saturday mostly featured tribute bands including the music and the look of Kiss, Queen, Pink Floyd, and more.

The Starbrick Music Festival raises funds for the Chris Roell TBI Foundation, which raises awareness of traumatic brain injuries.
