Airport hosts breakfast for pilots and land lovers
The old saying “they came from miles around” is an understatement when talking about the monthly breakfast at the Lebanon-Springfield Airport on Saturday, July 20, 2024. In addition to the residents of Washington and Marion counties, over 25 pilots flew in from around Kentucky and neighboring states to enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast and friendships at the airport. Airport manager Chris Carter said the breakfast usually draws 30 to 50 planes, but the number was little lower this past weekend due to the opening weekend of the Oshkosh Fly-In.

Police: Man hides meth in pocket during arrest, gets charged with drug trafficking
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — A 25-year-old man was charged with several crimes including meth trafficking in Madisonville after police say they caught him with drugs. Officers say they spotted Tyler Bivins at the One Stop on South Main Street Tuesday night, and knew he had a warrant for his arrest.
HPD charges Henderson woman with assault
The Hopkinsville Police Department has charged a Henderson woman with second-degree assault following an altercation at a store on West Seventh Street. According to the police report, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a location in the 1200 block of West Seventh Street and investigation revealed that 56-year-old Robin Williamson of Henderson was in a verbal disagreement with an employee when other customers attempted to separate them.
