Lenexa man arrested for ‘reckless’ police chase exceeding 100 mph on Kansas highway
HOLTON, Kan. (KCTV) - The Jackson County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Friday after he led police on a chase that exceeded 100 mph. According to the Sheriff’s Office, around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 30, a Jackson County sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a 2019 Toyota Camry for speeding and breaking other traffic laws.
Driver jailed after high-speed chase starts in Kansas, ends in Missouri
MIAMI COUNTY, Kansas —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a high speed chase across portions of Kansas and Misouri. On August 27, Sheriff Deputies were notified of a pursuit that was initiated by the Miami County Kans Sheriff’s Office that was entering Bates County, Missouri, according to a media release.

Coming off a strong start to the season, defeating South Carolina in straight sets on Thursday, No. 13 ranked Kansas volleyball looked to add to its win total against Duke on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will feel very similar to Saturday with temperatures climbing into the middle 80s. A lot of sunshine for Sunday and winds remaining light from the northeast. Dew points for Sunday will stay low, keeping the drier air in place. A cold front moving in Sunday night will drop our temperatures to the upper 70s, lower 80s for Labor Day.
