Hackensack Meridian Health's (HMH) John Theurer Cancer Center has launced a new cancer risk and early cancer detection program, designed to better identify the risk of cancer in individuals and enable earlier diagnosis. The new program is offered at HMH's Hennessy Institute for Cancer Prevention and Applied Molecular Medicine (HICAP) located at the recently established Cancer Center at Totowa on the St. Joseph's Health campus in Totowa, NJ. Paterson Police Investigate Shooting Incident Involving Two Local Residents
PATERSON, NJ - Two Paterson residents were shot in an incident on Monday evening, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer in Charge Isa Abbassi announced. According to a statement, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Paterson Police Department received a report of a shooting in the area of Essex Street and Madison Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers learned that the men, 26 and 19 years old, had been transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center by a private vehicle. An Essex County man was in custody Tuesday morning after barricading himself inside his girlfriend’s home in Bergen County for two hours, authorities said.
