Dry and Warm Days Ahead
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - As we moved through the day today, temperatures and dew points in the 80s and 60s felt mildly comfortable. This trend that we have been in the last few days is now going to shift. As we go into the weekend and early part of next week, we’ll see temperatures reside near the 90 mark for daytime highs. Dew points during this time period are also expected to eclipse 70 degrees frequently, making for another hot and sticky time across Southeastern Iowa.

NEWTON, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa State Patrol reports that a Des Moines was killed in a crash in Jasper County Wednesday morning. Authorities say 41-year-old Michael Croy was traveling northbound on Highway S-74 South when his car crossed over the centerline and hit a pickup truck in the southbound lane.
