REVIEW: Barrington Stage's 'Boeing Boeing' offers a flight you won't want to miss
Croissants, crepes, wine and a good farce have carried the French in good stead over the centuries. Even a mediocre French farce, when well directed and superbly acted will make up for a myriad of flaws in the script. Such is the case with Barrington Stage's production of “Boeing Boeing.” Written by playwright Marc Camoletti in 1960 and translated into English in 1962 by Beverly Cross is a funny, dated show about a rogue, Bernard, living in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower who is engaged to three women. He juggles his menagerie of ladies who all happen to be airline stewardesses all with different airlines based upon their flight schedules in and out of Paris. All is fine until it isn't and hilarity ensues.
