RLPD: No remains recovered in search for missing woman
RICE LAKE, Wis. (WEAU) - The Rice Lake Police Department provided an update today in the search for a woman who has been missing since May 13. According to a news release from the agency, it has spent the last two weeks working with the Barron County Waste to Energy and Recycling Center and the Republic Services Lake Area Landfill to try and recover the remains of 39-year-old Melissa Davis.
Man alleged to have threatened Rice Lake police officer
A man is accused of threatening a Rice Lake police officer after two separate reports of him allegedly trying to start a fight with a construction worker, and another of him undressing himself and trying to climb a tree. Tyler S. Ball, 36, of Rice Lake was charged on Monday in Barron County Circuit Court with threatening a police officer, a felony, and misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and bail jumping. ...
