NEW BLAINE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call on Wednesday afternoon about a man driving by a home and shooting at a woman’s vehicle, according to a social media post .

LCSO said the incident occurred at Springlake Road in New Blaine in Eastern Logan County.

The post said the suspect, who lives in the Dardanelle area, fled the scene.

The victim spoke with officers and said an acquaintance of hers was angry about a theft report she made about him in Pope County.

She said he decided to take revenge by shooting at her while she was visiting a residence in Logan County, according to the post. Her vehicle was hit, but no one at the scene was injured.

LCSO criminal investigators and an Arkansas State Police special agent interviewed witnesses and found multiple shotgun shell casings at the scene.

The department searched the area and notified the Yell County Sheriff’s Office, Dardanelle Police Department and authorities in Pope County. The suspect has not been found.

LCSO said they believed this was an isolated incident and there is no relation between this and the murder suspect associated with the Oklahoma homicides .
