Does Minnesota Have One of the Worst Cities for Parking Tickets?
Parking can be an issue for people in certain areas. Having to make sure the meter is fed, or you get the dreaded parking ticket. Honestly, I struggle with the concept a bit. I understand businesses in downtown areas can’t have someone leave their car in front of their business all day and make it hard for folks who want to shop there. But at the same time, the business chose to be there, and the city or town recruited them there. It sort of seems like the customer is left holding the bag.

Why Is Harriet Island In St. Paul Called That?
Thousands of people flooded Harriet Island this past weekend to attend Minnesota's first Yacht Club Festival. Harriet Island wasn't always called that. It was known as Waken Island initially before the name was changed to Harriet Island after Harriet Bishop.
Minnesota Yacht Club returns the musical festival experience to Harriet Island
Last weekend, the Minnesota Yacht Club brought in roughly 60,000 people for the first music festival at Harriet Island in St. Paul since 2012. The festival had a stacked lineup featuring big-name headliners Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The inaugural festival also booked big local acts Soul Asylum and Hippo Campus, along with up-and-coming Minnesota bands Durry, Gully Boys and Bugsy.
