Carolina Gets OT Win Over Maryland
The Carolina Chaos took on the Maryland Whipsnakes in the second Friday matchup of the PLL’s Week 6 slate in Fairfield, Connecticut. Carolina was coming off what was effectively a two-week bye, as they did not play in Week 5 before the All-Star break. With a 2-3 record, the Chaos were just one game behind the Utah Archers for the West Conference lead. Maryland, meanwhile, were also 2-3, good for third place in the East but looking to separate themselves from the last place Philadelphia Waterdogs, who lost earlier in the evening.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 19, 2024) -- The 109th Met Open Championship Presented by Callaway will make its first-ever appearance at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, Conn., this year. This will be the second MGA major hosted by the club, having welcomed the Met Amateur in 1992. It's no stranger to big events, having also welcomed the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship on three occasions (1939, '58, '70). It last hosted an MGA championship in 2019, when Brad Tilley claimed the Mid-Amateur with a dramatic finish.
