New Ansonia Business Caters To ‘Little Divas’
ANSONIA – Families looking for a colorful way to celebrate their daughter’s next birthday can now book a ‘hot pink party bus’ thanks to a new business in town. ‘Nailicious Little Divas’ is a mobile party bus that hosts manicure and pedicure parties for kids ages four to 12.
Phase Two Of Starhill Affordable Housing Complex Breaks Ground At 1600 Grand Avenue In Morris Heights, The Bronx
Services for the UnderServed and Bronx Pro Group recently celebrated the groundbreaking for phase two of Starhill, an affordable housing project at 1600 Grand Avenue in Morris Heights, The Bronx. The project will add 244 affordable apartments to the property, with 74 of which designated as supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals and families. On-site supportive care services will be provided by Services for the UnderServed. The project was designed by Marvel Architects.
Town of Oyster Bay Opens New Tennis Courts at Haypath Park in Old Bethpage
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino, Councilman Lou Imbroto, Town Clerk Richard LaMarca and Tax Receiver Jeffrey Pravato announce that new tennis courts are now open at Haypath Park in Old Bethpage. The Town of Oyster Bay upgraded courts to ensure generations of residents to come will be able to enjoy a game of tennis at this beautiful park.
Old world tradition celebrated in Putnam Valley
PUTNAM VALLEY- The sounds of the ‘oom pah pah” band, old fashioned Bavarian and Austrian food accompanied by camaraderie and friendship highlighted a weekend German Fest that attracted hundreds of men, women and children to the German-American Social Club in Putnam Valley where entertainment was provided by the group Spitzbaum.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating a 69-year-old man reported missing on Sunday, July 21, who lives in Wakefield. Police said that Maximino J Ruiz, of 4453 White Plains Road in The Bronx was last seen on Sunday, July 21, at approximately 6 a.m. at 600 East 233rd Street in The Bronx.

Stony Brook University and the Simons Foundation were recently named recipients of the Insight Into Diversity magazine 2024 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award. Insight Into Diversity is the largest and oldest diversity and inclusion publication in higher education. The Inspiring Programs in STEM Award honors colleges and universities that encourage and assist students from underrepresented groups to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Stony Brook University and the Simons Foundation will be featured, along with 82 other recipients, in the September 2024 issue of Insight Into Diversity magazine.

Four houses proposed at site of former Spring Hill Road animal rescue
MONROE, CT — Neighbors of the SPCA of Connecticut Animal Shelter railed against the facility at 359 Spring Hill Road when it first opened in the early 2000s, but the dog kennels were a grandfathered use. The owner, Frederick Acker, fought with town officials over the number of dogs allowed on the property over the years and, due to financial woes, the shelter closed down for good last year.
