Akron man receives life sentence for 2010 rape in Barberton
AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man currently in prison was sentenced to life Friday after he was convicted of the 2010 rape of a woman in Barberton. Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison McCarty also designated Derrick Fischer, 53, a Tier III sex offender, according to county Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.
