Akron man gets 7 1/2 years in prison for intent to distribute fentanyl and meth as well as weapons charges
AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man will spend the next 7 1/2 behind bars after pleading guilty to various drug and weapons charges. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio says Dion Dejournett, 29, admitted to two counts of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with one count of possession of firearms to further the crime of drug trafficking. U.S. District Judge Bridget M. Brennan handed down the sentence, which will also require Dejournett to serve five years of supervised release once he leaves federal prison.
