Oliver Berg, a student at Delano High School, has been crowned the National Middle School Storytelling Champion by the National Speech & Debate Association. The seventh-grader won the June 21 competition in Des Moines with his performance of the Japanese folktale “The Jellyfish and the Monkey,” Head Speech Coach Barb Shofner said.
