HTL: Albion Tigers knock off Lake Mills Grays 21-1
EDGERTON — The Lake Mills Grays fell to the Albion Tigers 21-1 on the road in Home Talent League baseball on Sunday. Albion’s Drew Hanson went 3-for-4 with two extra-base hits and drove in six runs. Charlie Hatlen and Steven Olson added three hits apiece for the Tigers. For the Grays, who were outhit 16-5, Jasper Meeker went 2-for-2 while leadoff man Caleb Housner, Matthew Gullixson and Romzy Barketallah tallied one hit each. Hatlen pitched four innings of five-hit ball to earn the victory for the Tigers (5-7). The Grays (0-12) close out the season at home against Jefferson next Sunday.
Summer school wraps up for the season
LAKE MILLS — Tuesday was the last day of summer school for the nearly 900 kids from elementary through high school that attended this summer. MADISON, WI – Only five months into the season, Devin Boyce has undoubtedly made a name for himself in Madison. Fans recognize him as the blonde Energizer Bunny in the middle of the field, a player with a level of tenacity and fearlessness proven to be vital to the ‘Mingos style of play this season. Between both the Jägermeister Cup and regular-season play, Boyce has been on the field for over 1,200 minutes, scoring three goals and tallying one assist so far this season. However, what the stats don’t show is his work rate on the field.
Madison Celebrates Installation of First Air Quality Monitor
The City of Madison is proud to announce the installation of its first air quality monitor within the community. It's located at the Kennedy Heights Community Center. 64 more monitors will be installed in the next few months. The City’s new air quality monitoring network will measure particulate matter concentrations in neighborhoods throughout Madison. Funding for the network was provided by the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection.
