    Police investigating after man walks into Yale New Haven with gunshot wound

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police say a walk-in shooting victim arrived at Yale New Haven Hospital Tuesday night.

    Police said the 38-year-old man suffered non-fatal injuries.

    MONDAY: 2 suffer non-life threatening injures after shooting in New Haven

    Officers believe the man was injured in a shooting reported through ShotSpotter in the area of Washington and West streets around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

    Police said the man arrived at the hospital about 10 minutes after the ShotSpotter activation.

    Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information valuable to investigators is asked to call detectives at 203-946-6304 or through the department’s anonymous tip-line at 866-888-TIPS (8477).

    TUESDAY: Juvenile shot in New Haven

    Police are also investigating a non-fatal shooting midday Tuesday that left a juvenile wounded on Wayfarer Street.

    Two others were also shot on Wayfarer Street on Monday. It was one of three separate shootings in the city that day.
