Recent all-star selection Tyrese Maxey — who also received the Most Improved Player of the Year award this past season — signed a max contract extension worth more than $203 million over five years. Maxey joined Immanuel Quickley and Malik Monk as former Wildcats to sign a contract extension this offseason. Quickley signed a five-year contract worth $175 million with Toronto, while Monk signed a contract worth $78 million (four seasons) with the Kings.

Boone County approves commercial development near Richwood Road
The Boone County Planning Commission approved a concept development plan and several variances that will pave the way for a new commercial development near Richwood Road. The request was made on behalf of Richwood Development LLC, a holding company owned by Boone County resident Milanben Patel, to allow for the development of an approximately 28,000-square-foot commercial complex with five buildings. The vote took place at a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, July 3.
