Huntsville Utilities reports outages impacting nearly 2K customers
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville Utilities is reporting over 1,800 customers are dealing with power outages on Friday morning. Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations are responding to a power outage in the Madison and Monrovia area. The outages were impacting customers from Blake Bottom Road south to University Drive and Nance Road east to Indian Creek Road/Providence Main Street, service has since been restored as of 10:05 a.m.

However, a new survey by the website Lawnstarter has lukewarm results when it comes to ranking cities in the U.S. for Barbecue. The Huntsville area, known as the of Big Bob’s and its signature white sauce came in at number forty-two. Lawnstarter used factors like the number of barbecue restaurants, total BBQ competition wins, and the most festivals to make its ranking.
