Up next for PTO options for the New Jersey Devils is, former San Jose Sharks forward, Kevin Labanc.

The New York native could be a perfect for the Devils' bottom six. After a terrible year with the Sharks, Labanc is looking for a chance to redeem himself.

In 46 games last season, he had two goals and seven assists for nine points. In the year prior, he and 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points in 75 games, however, the sharks had a bit better of a season as a team.

If the Devils do offer him a PTO, there could be a good chance that he would be competing with Nathan Bastian for the 12th forward spot. Unless, Labanc can stand out drastically and earn himself a higher spot in the lineup.

Regardless, earning a PTO doesn't mean a guaranteed spot on the team. Labanc will need to put in the work not just to show the Devils but other teams that could be willing to sign him.

Labanc can be a solid second power play unit option, as well as a secondary scorer. He is a right-winger who can take faceoffs whenever needed. He doesn't hit or block shots a ton but with a new coach, team and system while trying to earn an NHL contract he likely will do whatever is asked of him.
