Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy this week and is closing 99 locations across the country. The closures are widespread, covering 99 states in total. However, some states will see more closures than others. Let’s take a look at where the most Red Lobsters are closing. At the end of this article, we’ll have a complete list of every restaurant that’s closing.
Prior to Red Lobster announcing the “temporary” closure of 99 stores, equipment from 48 stores had already been put up for auction. From that group, we already knew three Red Lobster locations in Georgia were closing. No new restaurants were added to the list of closures now that Red Lobster has increased the store closings to 99 stores.

Mississippi is another state with three locations closing. Like Kansas, there were six locations total in the state before these closures, so there will only be three remaining stores across the state. The remaining locations are in Meridien, Southaven, and Tupelo.
