Commissioners open road material bids, hear splash pad concerns
NEW LEXINGTON — At the June 26 Perry County Board of Commissioners’ meeting, commissioners Dan Kinsel and Ben Carpenter addressed a handful of issues and opened bids for the purchase of materials for three county roads. The roads in question are County Roads 97, 57 and 12. Court receives subsidy grants from Department of Youth Services
NEW LEXINGTON — Perry County Probate/Juvenile Judge Luann Cooperrider has announced that her court has received additional funds from the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Judge Cooperrider has received an additional amount of $30,372.71 for a total of $309,986.26 paid to the Perry County Juvenile Court. The money is used to provide programs for youth and families in Perry County such as the Alpha School, counseling, U-Turn, Horse Power, drug and alcohol prevention programs and many other programs, all grant funded. Judge Cooperrider has received the funding each year as the department continues to support successful programs.
