HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The man charged in the April accidental shooting death of a Huntsville 4-year-old is seeking youthful offender status, according to court records. 21-year-old Nickarious D Shun MCconnico, who was 20 at the time of the child’s death, filed for youthful offender status last week and a Madison County judge set the court date for that hearing on September 5.

WAAY 31 heard from a woman who says vicious dogs attacked her, and she ended up in the hospital. She claims she's living in fear as the dogs still roam the street freely.
