INVITATION TO BID – Class III Solid Waste Disposal Services” for the JC Sanitation & Landfill
The Jefferson County (JC) Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for “Class III Solid Waste Disposal Services” for the JC Sanitation & Landfill. Will need to be capable of disposing approximately 450 tons of Class III waste per month for approximately six (6) months to one (1) year. A 50-mile round trip from 650 Grove Road Dandridge, TN 37725 is desirable. Sealed bids should be labeled “Class III Solid Waste Disposal Services” and either mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Purchasing Agent Julie Anglea, at P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN, 37725, or dropped off at 1244 Gay St., Dandridge, TN, 37725. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department conference room. Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive all irregularities in the receipt/handling of bids. The awarded bidder must be in good standing with the County of Jefferson.
Maynardville Food City to celebrate remodeling reopening in late July with special deals
MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. — One of Maynardville's only grocery stores will soon celebrate its official reopening after it received a fresh look and several new services. Food City has wrapped up remodeling work at the Maynardville location off Main Street. The finished store now features an additional 9,200 square feet of room, adding space for a new Starbucks cafe, an updated food service area and an enlarged floral department. It also includes expansions to several grocery departments, including meat, seafood, produce, dairy, and more.
