The final weekend of June will be a hot one

This is the last weekend of June, and the month will go out on a hot note.

"Trying to stay cool on our Saturday: it's going to be very hot and humid," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "High temperatures will get right into the low to mid-90s, and our feels-like temperatures may get near 110 degrees in a few spots."

There is a 50 percent chance of rain, though, that may provide relief to the areas that end up under the rain clouds.

Tomorrow is forecast to be more of the same: Hot and humid with highs in the low to mid-90s and a 50 percent chance for rain.
