    Cool off at these Greater New Orleans pools, splash pads, spray parks

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Summer has officially arrived in the Greater New Orleans area!

    As temperatures rise, you may be looking for a way to cool off or something to do with your children.

    Where to get beignets in Greater New Orleans

    To help you stay cool, WGNO put together a list of pools, splash pads and spray parks in the Greater New Orleans area.

    Orleans Parish

    NORD Pools

    The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission has four indoor pools and nine outdoor pools open for family swim throughout the summer.

    Audubon Zoo Cool Zoo

    The Cool Zoo at the Audubon Zoo offers a 750-foot lazy river, lounge chairs, two sand beaches, water cannons, water curtains, jumping jets, an alligator water slide, “spider monkey soakers” and “water-spitting snakes.”

    Jefferson Parish

    Jefferson Parish Aquatics

    The Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department has an outdoor pool and two splash pads for residents to keep cool this summer.

    St. John the Baptist Parish

    St. John the Baptist Parish Parks and Recreation

    The St. John the Baptist Parish Department of Parks and Recreation announced that three splash pads will be open for the summer.

    Ormond Spray Park

    The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation has a spray park located inside the Ormond Community Park.

    Six St. James Parish parks have splash parks available for residents to cool off.

    The Coquille Parks and Recreation Sports Complex in Covington has a splash pad open for the summer.

    Fontainebleau State Park

    The Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville has a water playground with a splash pad available year-round.
