    Tulane’s Kevin Cross reportedly signs summer league deal with the Charlotte Hornets

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Tulane standout forward Kevin Cross will reportedly play in the NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets.

    The news was first reported by DraftExpress.com’s John Chepkevick.

    The 6’8, 225-pound forward has been a key member of the Green Wave rotation since transferring from Nebraska ahead of the 2020-2021 season.

    In four years, Cross appeared in 111 games with 108 starts and became a versatile weapon for head coach Ron Hunter and company.

    Last year, Kevin Cross was Tulane’s leading scorer with 17.5 points per game. He shot 51 percent from the field, 41 percent from beyond the arc.

    He also averaged 7.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists per outing.

    Kevin Cross was named the Greater New Orleans Amateur Athlete of the Month for December after becoming the eighth player in Division I basketball history to post back-to-back triple-doubles.

    He recorded 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in a double-overtime win over Furman December 14th. Two days later, he tallied 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in the Green Wave’s win over Southern.

    Kevin Cross was name both the AAC Player of the Week and Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week following the performances.
