    NOPD: Suspects sought after man is beaten and robbed on front porch

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The New Orleans Police Department is searching for two men who are accused of beating and robbing a man on a front porch in the St. Roch neighborhood. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

    According to the NOPD, the crime happened around 12:55 a.m. on July 4 in the 1400 block of Marigny Street. Police say two men approached the victim, who was sitting on his front porch, and beat him with a handgun before taking his money.

    An initial report released by the department revealed that a woman was also on the porch at the time, but there’s no indication that she was attacked or robbed.

    Police also released some security camera footage in the case which, along with the crime report, have been included in the video at the top of this story.

    So far, more than 470 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
